Blossom Festival is the perfect day out to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and the magical sight of a cherry orchard in full bloom!
So why not pack a picnic, bring family and friends to wander amongst rows of cherry blossom, enjoy live local music, giant lawn games, selfie photo fun, our farm gate café, food trucks, sample our cherry beverages and treat yourself to our famous cherry ice cream.
This year we’re adding even more fun with hands-on workshops for kids and adults and free face painting for the kids.
Only 1 hour from Melbourne, come and enjoy Spring at its most beautiful.
Ps. Although we love dogs unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the orchard during the festival.
We love our bee friends, and whilst they might be little, they’re essential to growing our CherryHill Orchards cherries and indeed to most of the world’s food. This weekend we're excited to be running a kids bee workshop during the Blossom Festival run by our local bee expert Holly Hale. New for this weekend, we will be running a Spring Flower workshop run by our very talented floral friend Georgia.
Busy Bees Workshop
This fun, engaging and interactive session will stimulate all the senses. The Busy Bees workshop is tailored to provide interesting information about what makes up a hive, the bee life-cycle and how the bees make honey! Time will also be spent talking about how the bees help our environment, why they are so important in our food systems and sustainability and how to respond and behave around bees in our natural play spaces.
Holly brings in her observation hive so that the children can see a real honey bee colony in action. A demonstration of beekeeping tools and suit are provided along with a children’s sized suit and veil for the children to try on. Of course, you couldn’t learn about bees without tasting some honey too!
Spring Flower Workshop
Want to look, feel and smell like spring?!
Come and join our friend Georgia in learning how to create your very own beautiful crown of fresh spring flowers to wear. In this fun, hands on workshop you will be shown how to assemble pretty flowers into a halo that you can wear all day. Suitable for children 10 years and over and particularly for anyone wanting to embrace their creativity and inner spring fairy! No experience is necessary and all materials are supplied just bring your smile for the selfies!
