Hours: Seasonal – casual, able to work weekends & public holidays

CherryHill Orchards is a successful family owned business specialising in sweet cherries. Our farm at Wandin in the beautiful Yarra Valley continues to grow in popularity year on year for our cherry Pick Your Own experience. Last season we had 40,000 visitors to Wandin.

Our season operates from November to early January, including the Christmas and New Year period. As such we are now recruiting for seasonal positions in our Pick Your Own orchard. 


You will be a brand ambassador for Cherryhill Orchards, engaging our visitors with the Cherryhill story. Using your skills and experience in a customer facing role you will enhance our visitor experience by greeting them with a warm and friendly welcome, provide extensive knowledge of our range of cherries and harvest process. You will assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment across our orchard grounds and guide our visitors to allocated picking zones. You will be required to control queues in a friendly and safe manner and assist our visitors with any questions they have during their visit.  

This role will require you to work across multiple areas of our orchard, full training will be provided to give you the knowledge you will need to give our visitors a wonderful experience.  

Naturally you'll need to be able to work across our trading hours (9-5), including weekends and public holidays.

You will be required to provide your own transport to and from work as there is no public transport nearby.


  • Proof of right to work in Australia

  • This role will require physical fitness and resilience to working outdoors during the summer months


  • Greeting visitors from the bus into the orchard
  • Providing visitors with extensive knowledge of our cherry varieties
  • Have a strong knowledge of orchard grounds and picking map
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment across orchard grounds
  • Awareness of allocated picking lanes and available to provide visitors with assistance and direction
  • Control queues in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Control picking rows in a friendly and professional manner
  • Confident communicator
  • Brand ambassador of Cherryhill
  • Able to address and escalate any visitor complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction is a priority


  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Strong people and communication skills are essential
  • Previous experience in Agri-tourism would be highly regarded
  • Applicants possessing a valid First Aid qualification would be highly regarded
  • Multiingual applicants would be highly regarded
