We run agri-tourism experiences and supply Australia’s supermarkets, independent grocers, and fresh produce markets. We also export our produce around the world!  

About the role 

At CherryHill Orchards, we’re gearing up for another fantastic cherry season and are looking for a skilled Pick Up Driver to join our team for the 2024-25 season starting soon! If you’re passionate about fresh produce, working outdoors, working collaboratively in a team and have excellent driving skills, this role is perfect for you. 

As a Pick Up Driver, your role is crucial to our smooth and efficient operations! You’ll be responsible for safely transporting cherry lugs and bins between our orchard and orchard receival shed. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help us maintain the high standards we pride ourselves on. 

You’ll work closely with our Orchard Supervisor and Assistant Orchard Manager to ensure that everything is handled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will assist with setting up bins and equipment at the beginning of the shift and participate in the clean-up process at the end of the day. A good knowledge of technology and numerical competency is also required.

• Demonstrated ability to organise and work as part of a high-performance team 

• Ability to work efficiently with some supervision 

 

About you 

• You must hold a current Driver’s license & own transport. 

• You MUST have excellent driving skills and a strong safety mindset 

• Experience in working in a fresh food handling facility is a bonus 

• Must be available on weekends and flexible with shift scheduling 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team 

• Capable of lifting 15 kg and comfortable and safely driving ATV trailers for long periods 

• Committed and reliable, with the ability to travel to the primary work location in the stunning Yarra Valley area
