ABOUT US

CherryHill Orchards is a successful family owned business specialising in sweet cherries. Our farm at Wandin in the beautiful Yarra Valley continues to grow in popularity year on year for our cherry Pick Your Own experience. Last season we had 40,000 visitors to Wandin.

Our season operates from November to early January , including the Christmas and New Year period. As such we are now recruiting for seasonal positions in our Pick Your Own orchard. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be a brand ambassador for Cherryhill Orchards. Engaging our visitors with the Cherryhill story. Using your skills and experience in a customer facing role to ensure our visitors feel a warm and genuine welcome. You will assist in processing visitor entry and exit, queue management, answering visitor enquiries about our cherries, beverage range and orchard, processing sales transactions as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for our visitors.

This role will require you to work across multiple areas of our orchard, full training will be provided to give you the knowledge you will need to give our visitors a wonderful experience.  

Naturally you'll need to be able to work across our trading hours (9-5), including weekends and public holidays.

You will be required to provide your own transport to and from work as there is no public transport nearby.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • Own transport
  • Available to work throughout November – January including weekends & public holidays

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome our visitors and always provide outstanding customer service
  • Processes payments using kounta
  • Controls queues in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of our orchard, cherries and beverage range
  • Has a strong knowledge of orchard grounds
  • Communicates allocated picking areas and bus pick up zones to visitors
  • Promotes a safe environment for our visitors and colleagues
  • Responsible for completing daily and weekly cleaning tasks
  • Responsible for stock replenishment and rotation
  • Ensures all customer areas are always clean and well presented
  • Adaptable and able to work in various customer facing areas of the business as required
  • Able to address and escalate any visitor complaints

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Previous Experience in a customer facing role
  • Strong people and communication skills are essential
  • Applicants possessing a valid First Aid qualification would be highly regarded
  • Multilingual applicants would be highly regarded
