Sustainability

As a third-generation horticultural business, we understand the importance of responsible land stewardship.

Our work is deeply connected to the environment, and we know that long-term success depends on caring for the land, water, and communities we rely on.

We’re taking practical, measurable steps to reduce our environmental impact across our operations, and we continue to review and improve our approach as we grow.

We’ve estimated emissions across key parts of our operations
– from energy to travel and suppliers – so we can focus on
reducing our impact.

Key Initiatives Include:

Reducing single-use plastics at our visitor centres by replacing items like plastic bags, straws, and spoons with more sustainable alternatives

Lowering energy use and supporting a gradual transition to renewable energy sources, including a 100kW solar installation at our packing facility

Investing in water-saving and recycling systems across our orchards, visitor areas, and production sites

Improving packaging practices by removing non-recyclable materials and replacing them with fully recyclable alternatives

We are committed to practical action and honest progress, backed by ongoing research, testing, and real-world results. We have recently completed a detailed emissions assessment to better understand and reduce our environmental impact.

Our focus is not on ticking boxes, but on doing better where it counts.

We’re proud participants in the Tourism Emissions Reduction Program, where we measure our emissions and take practical steps to reduce them over time.

We have recently completed stage 3 of this program and you can see our live emissions dashboard here.
