Job title: Bus Driver  

Hours: Seasonal – casual, able to work weekends & public holidays

Location: Head office – Wandin East


CherryHill Orchards is a successful family owned business specialising in sweet cherries. Our farm at Wandin in the beautiful Yarra Valley continues to grow in popularity year on year for our cherry Pick Your Own experience. Last season we had 40,000 visitors to Wandin.

Our season operates from November to early January, including the Christmas and New Year period. As such we are now recruiting for seasonal positions in our Pick Your Own orchard. 


You will transport visitors to and from our visitor centre around the orchards to allocated spots where they will spend the day picking their own cherries. You will be a brand ambassador for Cherryhill Orchards, engaging visitors with the Cherryhill story during their time on board the bus and ensure that passengers are transported safely around the orchard.

Using the training that we will provide, you will engage our visitors in friendly conversation and be willing to answer any questions they may have.

Safety is absolute priority for this role and it will be your responsibility to ensure that vehicle condition audits are completed daily before and after each use.

You will also be required to ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety checklists are adhered to.

Naturally you'll need to be able to work across our trading hours (9-5), including weekends and public holidays.


  • Hold an Australian medium rigid driving license
  • Previous experience in driving buses
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • Transport to and from work
  • Available to work throughout November – January including weekends & public holidays


  • Always promote outstanding customer service
  • Treat all our visitors with respect and integrity  
  • Complete vehicle condition report inspections – before and after use daily
  • Ensure dash cams are always recording
  • Responsible for the safe use of power wash and other cleaning materials
  • Follow management briefs on bus routes, pickups and drop offs
  • Possess strong knowledge of our company history, range of cherries and beverages
  • Follow allocated bus routes, times and picking areas
  • Complete the bus cleaning checklist daily
  • Always promote the safety of our visitors
  • Demonstrate hazard awareness
  • Adhere to speed restrictions


  • Previous experience in driving buses
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential
